Scripture Memory Quizzes

1.   Every Other Word Game
People pair up and recite verse, alternating words
Write down every other word of verse, pass to person next to you and have them fill in the blanks

2.   Teach the Verse
Take five minutes to teach the person next to you the historical/grammatical context of the verse.

3.   Alpha and Omega Game
Match first and last word on each verse with its proper chapter/verse number.

4.   Sing A Verse
Put the verse to a popular song like Jesus Loves Me, Ive Got Joy, etc.

5.   Topic Match
Match verse topics in column one with proper chapter/verse number in column two.

6.   Concentration
Turn over two cards at a time, trying to match a chapter/verse number with the proper verse (or topic or first/last word).

7.    Whats My Verse
Each person is handed either a card with a chapter/verse number or a card with verse (or topic of first/last word). Do not look at your verse, but place on your forehead. Place people in order depending on their verse and determine what you are holding on your forehead for all to see.

8.    Life Application Game
Give three/four real-life case studies and ask for verse(s) that might be used to aid in the particular situation.

9.   Key Word-Word Game
Match the key word in column one with the proper chapter/verse number in column two.

10.   Speed Verse
One person begins the verse with the first word. The person to his left recites the second word and so on around the table until the verse is completed. This process is done against the stopwatch.
